KEEP TRACK OF YOUR STORY WORLD
A World Guide is the perfect foundation to create your own Story Bible or Wiki down the road. Along with your edit, you will receive a document detailing all of the character and place names used in your manuscript, as well as organizations, families, businesses, etc. This is especially useful if you plan to have repeat characters and locations throughout a series.
This service is only offered as an add-on to copy editing or proofreading.

What are your rates?
World Guide: $25 for manuscripts up to 100,000 words. $40 for manuscripts over 100,000 words.
This service cannot be purchased on its own, but can be added to any of my other services at the time of booking.

What types of manuscripts do you edit?
I offer editing and World Guides for genre fiction novels and novellas—primarily fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, romance, thriller, and horror.
How does payment work?
I accept payments through PayPal. Your World Guide will be included in the edit rate quoted to you, and half of the agreed-upon fee is due up front before I begin editing. The second half is due right before I return the edited manuscript and World Guide.
If you are booking an edit ahead of time, the first half of the edit fee needs to be paid at the time of booking.
How do I book an editing slot?
Contact me using the form below. I will need to know:
- which editing services you want, including a World Guide
- the approximate date your manuscript will be ready for editing
- the date you would ideally need the edit completed by
- a 1,000 word sample, taken from the middle of your manuscript
- the genre and word count (rounded is fine) of your manuscript
I will reach out to let you know my availability for that time period, as well as a quote for the edit rate and the approximate turnaround time. The first half of the edit rate will be due at the time of booking.
Can you do both the copy editing and proofreading on my manuscript?
I absolutely can! If you book your edit to include both services, I offer 35% off my proofreading service. The price of the World Guide will be added to your total edit rate, with the price dependent on the total word count.
